Videolicious which is funded through Knight Foundation investment, is available for the iPhone and works by accessing the photo roll. It is free for personal use, which only allows for a maximum video length of one minute, but can be bought on subscription and used for longer video stories.
Film and photos can be organised and edited on the phone with narration added as a voice over, or shot separately (with a second person holding the phone) and then interwoven into the story. Alternatively, video can be imported from other devices or cameras before being emailed, shared on Twitter/Facebook or uploaded directly to YouTube. The journalists interviewed for the Knight News blog say they can put together short visual stories for broadcast within minutes.
