News Labs are in Cape Town about to kick off a Development Studio in collaboration with the World Service and Connected Studio. The BBC will work with local startups and members of the tech scene to find better ways of distributing more relevant audio content to South African audiences. Engaging with the audiences we’re trying to better serve just makes sense and we’re looking forward to learning from all the attendees.
Basile Simon and Jacqui Maher of BBC News Labs are on site to help teams develop their ideas, explore APIs and do digital storytelling. As the labs endeavor to push the boundaries of storytelling through experimentation in new formats and tools, we’re both excited to take part in this event. We’ll be covering all the happenings from the studio over the next two days, so follow @BBC_News_Labs, #bbcconnected and the live stream for more!
