Joining News Labs from the BBC Platform department, Francesco is a senior web developer hailing from Milan, Italy and a lifelong BBC fan (he still has to pinch himself when he swipes his badge at Broadcasting House!)
After working for 2 years on the iSite CMS, he has found in News Labs the opportunity to combine his passions for creativity, experimentation and journalism. Picking up the great work done so far on the Juicer, our aggregation and content extraction API, he is now leading the work to introduce multilingual sources and to support an expanded user base both inside and outside the BBC. He secretly hopes to sneak in Docker and ClojureScript along the way.
You’ll hear from him on this blog or, if you fancy indie rock, politics and public transport, on Twitter.
