#newsHACK IV - Connected Studio for World Service Africa, Nairobi

This creative Hack event took place on 3rd and 4th February 2015 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The aim was to generate ideas for tools and products to reach new audiences in Africa, & to invest into the local tech community and launch new pilot concepts together.

The Challenge

The aim of this Connected Studio event was to generate ideas for tools and products that better distribute BBC News to an African audience, in ways that are relevant to this market.

Using technologies that complement one another, and the resources available at the Hack (BBC content, R&D and Production APIs, and Social Media platforms), the teams prototyped and tested products and tools aimed at reaching a young African audience.
