Neurotech Rig

In partnership with Imperial College London, News Labs has been looking into Neurotech feedback around media experiences.

Published: 13 May 2019

Aims

How might we use Neurotech feedback signals to help us test, refine and customise News experiences?

Investigating Neurotech feedback

BBC News Labs has been working with Imperial College London's Data Science Institute.

We created a "Neurotech Rig" which used EEG and Eye Tracking to measure strength of emotional response, and "attention" for a video experience. See the write-up from Digital Economy 2014.

The project is currently dormant while we work out next steps with Imperial College, and while our "Pool of Video" platform emerges.
