Biography

James is a former engineer in the Labs team. He finds energy crafting new audience experiences, and tools that help make richer content. Some of these include: delivering local news via conversational bots, automatic segmentation of radio programmes, speech-to-text tools and new voice-platform experiences on Amazon Alexa. More so, he likes to take photos, eat Korean food, climb rocks and pet dogs.

James' background is in Electronic Engineering. He studied his Masters in Audio Systems, where he was exposed to DSP, computer vision and machine learning. Interested in all things music and tech, James then joined the BBC graduate scheme and worked on BBC Sounds, as well as BBC iPlayer, and also created rich content for News in the Visual Journalism team.
