Biography

Julie is a senior software engineer in News Labs. She recently worked on automating social media posts from audio content on the Audiogram v2 project. Julie is also part of the Internet Fit Radio team which extracts metadata from live radio playout to be used by teams across the BBC. She joined the BBC in 2018 after many years working as a Test and QA engineer in both hardware and software. Julie has a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a background in testing embedded software in professional audio products. She has a passion for all things audio and loves radio.
