Biography

Martin is a former Software Engineer in News Labs. He takes a special interest in machine learning, functional programming and cloud computing, although if technology is involved - Martin is interested. He studied Software Engineering at University of Southampton, where he was awarded "Top 10 Electronics and Computer Science Graduate of 2021" for academic excellence.

He recently completed the very successful project GoURMET, which has advanced the field of low-resource deep learning for natural language applications and has influenced machine translation solutions industry-wide.

Outside of engineering, Martin primarily spends his time training for powerlifting competitions. He also loves playing video games, rock climbing, and dancing.
