Susie is a senior software engineer for BBC News Labs. Her focus within the team is the GoURMET Project, which aims to use and improve neural machine translation for low-resource language pairs and domains. Prior to that she was a Software Developer at the Guardian on the Editorial Tools team. She was also the technical lead for The Guardian's Voice Lab project. The Voice Lab team investigated the role of Google Assistant in news.
